Law Society Business Leases
The Law Society has finalised its amendments to LS1 and LS2 to reflect the introduction of prescribed clauses in new leases which are created on or after 19th June.
The Law Society has separated LS1 and LS2 into four separate forms for creating business leases of registered or unregistered property.
The Law Society has made certain assumptions in drafting these four new business leases. In particular, solicitors must not alter the text of the lease but ought to set out any amendments or variations at the end of each lease.
THE 2006 EDITIONS OF LS1 AND LS2 WILL REPLACE THE CURRENT FORMS ON 1st NOVEMBER. THE LAW SOCIETY HAS ASKED OYEZ NOT TO DISTRIBUTE THE NEW FORMS BEFORE THIS DATE.
