Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
Following the introduction of the Commonhold system last year, we have amended the three forms above to take account of the provisions of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
Con 28B has been updated by the insertion of additional requisitions which are relevant to commonhold transactions and Con 58 and Con 59 have been amended to incorporate specific guidance on the procedures to follow when conveying commonhold property.
OLD FORMS CAN CONTINUE TO BE USED IN CONVEYANCING TRANSACTIONS WHICH DO NOT INVOLVE COMMONHOLD BUT THE NEW EDITION OF CON 28B IS AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY. CON 58 AND CON 59 WILL BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF FEBRUARY.
The Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 introduced the new commonhold system on 27th September 2004.
