Business Leases and HIP Forms
The Law Society has made various alterations to their leases to reflect the Code for Leasing Business Premises which can be downloaded at www.leasingbusinesspremises.co.uk.
Although this Code is voluntary, it has been endorsed by the Association of British Insurers, British Property Federation, the Law Society and the Government which is keen to promote its adoption in the property industry.
Con 24 and Con 26a are Oyez’s own forms for a business lease and commercial tenancy which we have updated in accordance with the Code’s provisions.
AMENDED VERSIONS OF ALL 6 FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF MARCH FOR USE FROM 31ST MARCH. WE RECOMMEND THAT CURRENT EDITIONS SHOULD NOT BE USED AFTER 31ST MARCH BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT COMPLY WITH THE CODE’S PROVISIONS.
The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has amended HIP forms 1 and 2 to reflect the provisions contained in the Home Information Pack (No.2) Regulations 2007
PRACTITIONERS ARE ADVISED NOT TO USE THE 2007 EDITIONS OF HIP FORMS 1 & 2 BUT USE THE LATEST VERSIONS OF THESE TWO FORMS WHICH WILL BE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY.
